So there's this brunch spot. It's tucked away in a corner off Northside Drive in Northwest Atlanta, and unless you're looking for it, you wouldn't even know it's there. I've seen Local Three pop up on my Yelp recommendations and on an Atlanta Eats episode, but when a friend of a friend raved about how good it was, I knew I had to try it (word of mouth really is the best form of marketing).

Laura and I met there Sunday afternoon and proceeded to get our life right at their brunch buffet. Did I mention the brunch is served buffet style? No? Well it is, and it's hot, fresh and straight from the kitchen - literally. You have to walk through the kitchen to get your food, and you can see them pull the pancakes off the griddle and slide them directly on to the serving trays.

We didn't have a reservation, and the inside seating was completely full for the whole 4-hour brunch window, so we sat outside... in the middle of July... in the Atlanta heat... Thankfully, the sun ducked behind some clouds and it wasn't that bad, but for future reference, I will definitely be making a reservation!

As for the food, I enjoyed everything except for the scrambled eggs. They weren't terrible; there we just missing something. The bacon, pancakes, french toast, homemade jam, salad, mac n' cheese, and literally everything else I tried was a real treat for my taste buds. After two rounds, I was done!
