I had an opportunity to visit the Savoy Automotive Museum and found myself in my feels reminiscing on what I could remember about the Golden Days of Pontiac. When General Motors ran the city, and all the men in my family worked at the plant. When the Lions played up the street from my grandparents' house at the Silverdome. When classic cars rode up and down Woodward Avenue in celebration of a prolific era. When Tyra Banks (!!) shook hands and signed autographs at our local Wal-Mart.

Now, whenever I go "home" to visit, I feel pangs of sadness for how it's hardly a shadow of its former self. But if Detroit can experience revitalization, maybe Pontiac can too.
