These past couple months have been one big whirlwind. All the photos here were snapped in various neighborhoods around town, during the house hunting process. Yep, that's right, house hunting.

Buying your first home is supposed to be fun, exciting, and super full of hope. The idea of finding a home was thrilling, but the actual process of finding a house you like, negotiating offers, passing inspections, going through the appraisal process, and waiting for loan approval? That's when the stress kicks in. That's when I found myself mentally exhausted.

I came home from work one evening and went right to sleep around 5pm, and then slept the whole, entire night. J tried to wake me up and tell me dinner was ready, and not even the thought of food got me out of bed.  It wouldn't have been so nerve-wrecking if we hadn't already put in our vacate notice, but the pressure to find something and close crept up so fast that I didn't even have time to process the fact that we actually were buying a house.

Now that we're actually through the process, and have closed (yay!), I can finally breathe again and stress about the fun stuff like getting new carpet, and painting, and other small projects required to make someone's old house your new home.

On another note, today is me and J's one year anniversary! It's been a whole 365 days since we tied the knot, and I can hardly believe it. This past year flew by. We just got the keys to our new home yesterday, so it's safe to say neither of us is expecting an anniversary gift.

I'm so grateful to have such a strong and loving person to do life with. As much as I get on his nerves, and snap when I get hangry, and stay in his ear about all his clutter and junk, he still says he wouldn't change a thing, and still texts me "good morning, beautiful" every morning, and he still tells me all those mushy things I never admit I like but secretly love. Shoutout to my HomieLoverHusbandFriend for helping us get through every bump in the road (he worked so many extra hours for us to adequate have down payment money).

Ok, that's all for now. More updates soon come, as well as actual photos of the new place! Can't wait to jump back into regular updates here.
